A Different Side of Manchester
Yeah... I'm beginning to like Manchester more and more... realised that there's more than what I've seen in the past 3 weeks. After class today, des, ulrich and i went on a walking tour around manchester city... supposed to look for the town hall where the food and drinks festival is held... but it was quite a disappointment when we finally found our way there... perhaps cos it was raining/drizzling... anyway, ulrich brought us to explore the northern side from arndale and it was great! the place looks kinda different... with older buildings (and of 'cos nicer english architectures)... the streets were lined with shops that sold vintage stuffs, rock music/non-pop-non-rnb-songs, cafes, etc etc... and there was the affleck palace which was quite cool... like a mini far east plaza in spore that sells mainly the hard core stuffs... haha
oh, and after the mini 'adventure'... we went to Illy's for coffee... sat by the glass wall on those high stools overlooking the streets... superb... i simply love to relax this way... chit chat a little... sip on my choc milk shake... people-watch... ahhh... really makes me feel great...
headed back to whitworth when des n ulrich decided go back and catch the england vs croatia match... while i went to cook the beef fried rice for hl, sf n myself... it tasted quite good! esp when our motive was to get rid of the minced beef (too much already)...
after dinner was even better... angela suggested going to the grovel for some pool and yeah, we decided it wasn't a bad idea... and i think that angela is really a great gal... lovely neighbour and fantastic friend! found out that she actually got into the uni's volleyball team... shall go watch and support her in the upcoming matches...
i shall rate today 8/10... hehe... lovely... 2/10 is minused for the part of me having to wash my top and jeans because it's stained with smoke smell from the grovel... bah... my hands are rough and smell of washing powder now... *rawwr*...
hope every day is as interesting as today's!!
