Edinburgh... brrrr

This is the superb scenery that we saw the moment we stepped outta our 6hrs bus journey to Edinburgh…. SPLENDID innit?

This one was really funny cos I heard from panqin (our dear host in Edinburgh) that drunkards/pranksters always like to put that orange cone on the statue and it sits so nicely at the top!

We visited the Childhood Museum (free entry!) and saw lotsa toys and games that date back damn long ago. Quite cool place... makes me feel very nostalgic when I saw some of the stuffs

this the entrance to the Edinburgh Castle... Just take a look at the queue, it's super duper long!! But we still queued cos it's an attraction not to be missed when u're in Edinburgh!

this is us taking self-portraits while queuing up... haha... our fave pastime

Me and the magnificent view of Edinburgh (from within the castle)

this was pretty interesting... cemetery for the soldiers' dogs? Geez...

after the castle, we visited the tartan mill... the mill that produces what Scottish are famous for... the kilts!

some self-disillusionment can be consoling...

a bagpipe performer along the royal mile

met up with pq and lichun to have dinner at city restaurant... here's where I couldn't resist the fried mars bar!

ah, then I tried this haggis with peas... it's a local delicacy but u'd rather not know what u're eating

hurray, then we met up with hl, des and Ulrich at a bar.

and Ulrich tried to imitate how hl drinks her beer... lol.. damn funny

the following morning we went to climb the crags... decided to heed pq's advice and forego the arthur's seat cos I heard it was pretty steep to ascend. Anyway, this is me on the crag with the arthur's seat in the background.

and the wonderful view of Edinburgh from on top of the crags! Breathtaking!!

This the yummy Fudge Kitchen along the Royal Mile that we craved for

And of cos, I bought a slice of it... damn expensive... but I just had to try...

ta dah... my Boozy Fruit 'N Nut fudge...

Next stop was the Royal Museum of Edinburgh... and this is the famous Millenium Clock... we witnessed the chime (lasting 2+mins) where the little mechanisms within the clock started moving and making an orchestra of sounds... it's a very interesting piece of art because of the meaning behind every little character in the clock...

and we went to the chocolate soup shop that pq recommended. Thankfully I was full n didn't drink a bowl... cos sf said is was super rich until it becomes kinda sickening after a while...

ta dah... n this is a picture of the choc soup with marshmallows

feeling all fat… we decided to take a walk to the Water of Leith, said to run through the whole of Edinburgh... we walked and walked and walked for kilometers... just to come to find this puny little stream -_-

the really pretty sky and the clock tower... took it on our way back to pq's place from the water of leith...

Yup… that pretty much concludes my Edinburgh Trip… short but really enriching… had a great time... And the weather was really good... heard it rained a lot before and after we were there...
