The Penrhyn Castle was constructed between 1820 and 1837 in the neo-Norman style, using a lot of the local slate. It is a very impressive Castle with the great hall modelled on Durham Cathedral and containing mock Norman furniture. The Castle also contains an outstanding collection of paintings. A pity that no phototaking was allowed within the castle. It was really pretty, the bedrooms, dining room, playroom, etc etc... How I wish I was a princess too!
