Irish Cream...

shh... now u keep quiet... cos i'm gonna tell u my adventure in ireland!!! took this photo outside a christmas shop when we reach Cork, Ireland. Cork is a pretty nice town... Slow pace (u can simply feel it)... Everybody's friendly and such... When we reach the hostel, we asked if we could pay the rent using debit card 'cos we didn't bring too much cash with us as it might be dangerous... the landlady was so shocked and exclaimed "Oh my, you mean you don't feel safe in Cork? You must be kidding"... this is how proudly she thinks her neighbourhood is... which is good of course... haha... she's a nice lady... We stayed at Aaran Tourist Hostel... do find her if anyone's gg Cork

thi is the beautiful river that flows through cork... pardon me but i forgot the name of the river... haha...

Ah, this is in Cork... do you realise how few people there are on the streets? it's peaceful place i tell ya... but nice yeah, jelli?? go slow... everything feels good...

ok...Cork, indeed, was pretty peaceful and small... So we left for Dublin early next morning... took the dreadful 4hr coach ride again... but it was fun cos i had a nice chat with jelli... it's so nice to just keep talking... since we have many common friends... ah.. the above picture (before i forget to mention)... is the statue of James Joyce... literature students will be so jealous of me cos i'm posing with him... however, i have no idea who the hell he is... jelli told me abt him de... HAHA...

For lunch... we searched high and low for irish food... no to avail... decided to settle for... the typical meal found in ALL COUNTRIES... FISH & CHIPS... boo... but it was okay la... portion was pretty big (mainly made up of fries though)... haiz... i'm eating fish and chips at all the places i go to loh.. SIANZ

This... Abraham House... is our hostel in Dublin... pretty good... and cheap... 10 EUR per night with bfast inclusive... and pretty accessible too... along lower gardiner road (ha, i rmb it so clearly cos we were initially worried abt not finding the place as we didn't have the map... thankfully we met a helpful guy on the coach back to dublin from cork and he offered one of his map to us)... yay...

went out for a night stroll after the rain (did i mention, it rained everyday and the winds were so strong... and it was so freaking cold... but braving the rains in our coats and beanies was quite fun... haha)... Anyway, back to the above picture... OMG... it's EXACTLY THE SAME TRAFFIC LIGHT BUTTON AS THE ONES IN SINGAPORE!!!! even the sound is the same... "diu du du du du du".... HAHA... i miss such traffic lights so much... awww... just had to take a pic of it...

This is the famine memorial along the river that runs through dublin (shid, i can't rmb the name of this river again...)... do i look hungry too? honestly, i didn't think i needed to pose specially for it... i always have a hungry face mah.. HAHA... fat face too.. boo.. notice how wet the ground is... and notice how i wrapped myself until my neck disappeared... OH oh Oh... thanx to c blk peeps who gave me the beanie and scarf for my 21st bday... really put them to good use... ahh, can feel the warmth from u guys... LOL...

Before we headed back from our night stroll... saw this big advert of Baileys on the side of one building.. ah.. i love irish cream.. except i can't drink alcohol cos of my allergy... blah... and did i mention how we go through so much in search of irish cream coffee and when we eventually found it... it costs 5.96 EUR per cup... that's like S$12 for a cuppa irish cream coffee.. kns... so expensive so we gave it a miss... *sobz* there goes our irish food/drinks experience...

the last day in dublin was more fun... after we checked out and left our luggages with the hostel... i asked for a map from the counter and that lao peh peh said "sure, only if u *wink*"... and haha, it came so naturally... i just *wink wink*... and yay he finally gave me the map... and our first destination... to the Spire!!! this really tall spire in the middle of dublin... haha cool ha... this picture is courtesy of jelli... yes, i took one pic of it myself... until 1 min ago i realised i take until wai wai one... so used hers instead... lol..

ahh... this stretch of road... is built for me... the Bachelors Walk... okok... should have been Bachelorettes Walk... sama sama la... eh Cupid... u haven't heard my desperate cries at the Louvre museum yet??? *sobz*

oh, then we managed to snap a pic of this huge huge guinness truck... i can imagine myself swimming in that amt of guinness... EXCEPT.. i dun drink guinness... hell.. some ppl wonder why i'm even in dublin when i don't club and don't drink... LOL... but i had quite abitta fun... like filming the Boardwalk song at the boardwalk along the river... damn funny la... we'll be doing more mvs at the end of the year... hiakz hiakz...

then we crossed the half-a-penny-bridge over to Temple Bar (an artsy area in Dublin)... now u know why i covered half a penny to take the picture...

This is Grafton Street... Akin to Orchard Road in Singapore... BUT... honestly, i think Orchard Road is so much better... longer... wider... more variety of shops... but nonetheless, yes, this is grafton... and that is jelli's backview...

went to Jervis shopping mall... trying to kill time before we head to the airport... oh, now u realise there's really nothing much to do in Dublin... the sights and scenes can be done in a day... lol... the Irish Tourism Board is so gonna kill me for saying these... but oh well... after staying in the UK for 2 mths.. everything feels the same.. shops are the same, food is the same... etc etc...
