Day 1 - Love (me) has gone to Amsterdam

OMG... Finally the day i've longed been waiting for... My 23 Days end-year Europe Adventure. First stop: Amsterdam! Had to wake up real early at 4am to catch the bus to the airport despite sliping only at 1am =( Was so tired in the morning that i napped a little at the Schiphol Airport while waiting for Jelli to arrive. We took a train from the airport to the amsterdam central station. It was quite hilarious because we realised we were on the wrong platform and our train had arrived on the opposite platform. Yup, so now you can imagine two girls carrying their luggages running up the escalator and down the other side to catch the train. Reached our hostel Stayokay Stadsdoelen after taking a tram (my first experience!) from the central station. The hostel was pretty okay... went to visit the Heineken brewery after settling down. It was quite a good and interactive experience, and we were even given 3 free drinks (had 1 beer and 2 soft drinks. I mean most ppl would get 3 beers but like everyone knows, i'm allergic to alcohol yah). Oh and they also gave us a souvenir bottle opener. We went to look for dinner all around but ended up going back to our hostel to eat at the bar. I had the genuine Dutch stew for EUR4.95 and it was really good! Came with butter and bread too! Okay, shall call it a day now. Really tired *yawnz*
